This blanket chest is made of solid American Cherry with accents in Brazilian Cherry. It's based on the client's childhood memories of a family heirloom that she would playfully hide in. The original family chest is owned by a sibling and photos and dimensions were taken of the piece as a starting point. From this we enhanced the design, quality of materials and jointery. After three years of ownership, the client is still tickled with the end result; "it is a continuous and tangible reminder of great childhood memories as well as an addition of genuine quality furniture that alway gets gasps of praise from visiting friends and family."
