Local handcrafted blanket chests can be made from the trunk of your own tree or of any wood (shown: chinese elm, walnut, cherry, Chinese elm/American walnut, cedar). Each one is meticulously cut and assembled in Passaic County New Jersey by Mr. Helmut Schreiber. Helmut maintains a classic wood mill and shop where he can create wide planks from your fallen or cut trees.
Hand dovetailed corners are used on all four corners and provide a beautiful appearance and rigidity. Various base styles are shown and custom ones can be made. A full depth sliding drawer just under the lid provides the perfect place to keep small items. Brass hinges and lock complete the blanket chest.
