"Bloomsbury" Pink Posy Lampwork Scroll Luxe Gemstone Wrap Bracelet

Welcome to White Tideline Designs, handcrafted jewelry-as-art ~ sculpted bracelets, pendants & earrings like watercolors, using complex artisan beads & gemstones & sterling. Colors are blended and textures are joined in interesting combinations using beads of several glass & sterling artists to create a composition of a desired vision. Like an 'assembly of neurons,' each piece hopes to help remember again ('agenbite') a feeling, a place, a memory - conjured out of consciousness and imagination. Each piece is designed and handmade by me in my San Francisco Bay Area studio, an old African mahogany dining room table in my home - my vast and beautiful palette. While my muse may be the same (so often it is the sea, a landscape or a trip abroad), no two pieces are ever identical. This exact design will only be created one time and it will belong to you.

"Bloomsbury" is named for the London neighborhood where Virginia Woolf lived and wrote at the turn of the last century. While her life was complex and crippled by depression & emotional stress, she lived in a lovely, peaceful and green district in London. More importantly, she had a family home by the sea which was her ultimate sanctuary and writer's haven, holding important and precious memories of a happier time, when she was a child. More than ever, the bracelet named, "Bloomsbury" reminds me of the lovely, lush and generous garden at Virginia's family home beside the sea.

'Bloomsbury' is a three-strand wrap bracelet of lampwork, sterling and stone all done in shades of white, clear and pink, dripping with the deep silver shine of handcrafted and ornate sterling findings, charms & components.

For a piece so loaded in unique lampwork glass, I drew upon the talents of several esteemed glass artists located both here and abroad. You will find a plethera of shapes and sizes of lampwork, some peppered with sterling silver droplets within the glass, some squares, slices, rondelles, rounds, encased and textured. Along with so much .925 sterling silver, the glass beads and stones including pink amythest, white and fire-pink (dyed) moonstone, clear, faceted quartz, luminous baroque pearls and dazzling pink cubic zirconia which all create a combination that is at once captivating, elegant and reminiscent of bygone time. The ensemble of studio artisan glass beads include the very complex encased floral rounds, as if a dainty bloom were caught, petal-by-petal, frozen in the center of a glass orb; small rounds textured with raised flowers; sanded, flat button shaped beads as if imbedded with daisies all in shades of pink, round bubble beads of encased white & sterling droplets, wee etched white polka dot beads and the list goes on. Taken together with the opulent sterling silver, in particular the exclusive, solid sterling long tube bead, 'Bloomsbury' is a solid LUXE piece of wearable art. In a wrap design, the three strands create an endless effect of luscious chaos. 'Bloomsbury' is a stand-alone design to be worn with small pearl or diamond stud earrings for the the most striking accent with any couture ensemble.

"Bloomsbury" measures about 8 inches in length. The wrap design is meant to be worn more loosely than other bracelet designs. Because of the complexity of this design, 'Bloomsbury' cannot be resized, however I can offer an option for a custom order of a very similar design. While it will not duplicate "Bloomsbury" exactly, due to the one-of-a-kind nature of every bead and sterling component, I can get awfully close. Please inquire.
