Book Matched Northern Spalted Maple Dining Table
This piece was made from a fallen tree from Southampton. The tree was milled and the slabs were left to age for almost 6 years on the Shinnecock Nations Reservation in Southampton.
The slabs were hand planed and joined. The accents are copper plate by a local print maker Corey Riddell. The etchings were cut and in-laid into the top and sides of the table.
All butterflying was done with solid copper butterflies in place of standard hardwood butterflies. The legs (not pictured) are Pin Cherry, also harvested from a fallen tree near the Shinnecock Nations reservation.
