Book Of Kells Doodle Magnetic Art Frame

From the Book of Kells, a simple doodle the monks added to the end of Latin word. These embellishments are found throughout the ancient document in a variety of arrangements. This particular one I found on page 46v of the Trinity College catalog. My rendition adds the stylized flower that's found in doodles other than this particular one, but I don't think the original artists would have objected!

Each frame is a pair of divided alder pieces, 19" long by 1-3/8" wide, which clamp together with strong rare earth magnets. The top piece has a cord of dyed leather for wall hanging. Just position an art print or painting on the back half of each section, and gently drop the front half onto it's mate from an inch or two above it. The pairs will clamp tightly to your artwork for display. Easy to change out, enjoy using them over and over again as your art collection grows!
