Book Shelves
These are a set of three floating book shelves for a child's room. The customer wanted a classic "crown molding" look and I suggested we add a personal touch by monogramming each shelf with the first initials of her two children. The third shelf got a star so as not to cause a fight :)
They are made of solid wood, with a high-gloss enamel paint finish. Heavy duty keyhole mounting hardware was recessed into the back of each side bracket. Testing at the studio (see photo) with lots of heavy woodworking books proved the concept workable.
This was a fun project and a great example of how you can get something totally unique for not a lot of money.
