What a wonderful artist Michelle is! After meeting with us initially to better understand what we had in mind for the transom window, she prepared several artist drawings with suggested themes. Every one was a possibility that we could have been pleased with. With her talent it made it difficult to decide. We settled on one, then changed to another, and finally after incorporating elements from more than one, and with further changes and additions we finally settled on what has become a work of art in the 6' wide arched transom window above our 8' front doors. It incorporates elements of the family's heritage with a truly wonderful rondel at it's center.
This large platter (18" x 18") was created using pieces of hand raked glass. Once I had raked the glass, the pieces were cut to fit and assembled on a clear blank and fused again. The final piece was slumped using a mold to give the edges a gentle lift.

I have never worked with an artist without physically meeting and seeing the artist's work, but my experience with Michelle Caron was as close to being there as possible. I was able to describe my ideas for the stain glass skylight, and received an abundance of her visions and colors throughout the sketching of the project before it was clear that we both were happy with her plans. I was even more delighted to receive such a beautifully detailed piece of art that expresses Michelle's talent and CARE for the happiness of the client. We are fortunate to showcase such a piece of art in our, now enhanced, home.
