Carefully selected and matched quarter-sawn bubinga is displayed on this architecturally designed piece inspired by the French "Bonheur Du Jour" writing desks built in the mid to late 1700's. The original French desks of this period were extremely ornate. This interpretation has been distilled so that it would handsomely fit into a traditional or modern setting. The staircases leading to the upper doors which can be opened to reveal drawers. This is just one of the many features including hidden compartments which make this piece so intriguing.
