A ceramic butterfly illuminated within a shadow box surrounded with hand carved turquoise paisleys, this piece is truly a unique art piece that can be place outdoors or inside.
The diagonal purple tile is hand made, stamped with India wood stamps. Everything is laid out in a 20" wrought iron frame and grouted with a contrasting grout color. I collect vintage drawer pulls and so I attached three brass handles below the shadow box.
So, even though it is a "pho" drawer it is actually functional for those of you that desire functional art. Feel free to hang lovely scarfs or necklaces from the handles. The glazes are spectacular on this work. It went through 5 firings to get the affect I was looking for. I am very pleased with the outcome. And I hope you are too! Made in Tucson, Arizona.
