This was a cabinet made for a classic video game enthusiast. I must admit, I really had fun making this, because I'm a fan of the game that's involved.
For this cabinet we used MDF for the end-jams to give us a space for carvings of map terrain from his favorite video game. It wasn't easy figuring this one out, but (being that in another life i did IT) i was able to pull the data from the game, in order to use it for this project. Actually, this helped get another project of mine into WIRED magazine.
This was a Face-frame style construction using cabinet-grade plywood for the interior, and solid Poplar for the face-frame for painting.
This went in over their computer desk.
