Cape, Shawl, Crochet Lace, Purple

I crocheted this shawl in plum and lilac with variations on antique lace patterns. The result is a thick, warm, chunky lace cape with fantastic drape, swing and twirl. I chose the most luxurious yarn from the Mirasol Project in Peru; the Sulka yarns are 60% Merino Wool, 20% Alpaca and 20% Silk. It is just a dream next to your skin. The finishing touch is a heart-shaped clasp in slightly oxidized sterling silver for that perfectly elegant modern-meets-antique look. There are more than 20 hours of my loving attention in this gorgeous shawl. This is a truly amazing handmade piece in a stunning yarn that will be a joy for you to wear and heirloom to pass down to generations.

26" ( 66 cm) around the neck from one side of the clasp to the other.
15.5" (39.4 cm) from the clasp to the bottom of the front
31" (78.7 cm) from the back of the neck down the center to the bottom
160" (406.4 cm) around the entire bottom

Hand wash cold; lay flat to dry. This yarn WILL felt if washed by machine and will shrink if machine dried.

Handmade by me in my smoke-free, cat-friendly home.

I represent the colors in photos as closely as possible but please be aware that all monitors differ.
