Exotic Wood And Copper Boat Sculpture
The title of this work is "Compelled to Compassion".
The materials used are exotic laminated woods, bronze and copper.
Each layer of the boat is formed separately and then laminated and finally carved into the final boat shape.
The fish/wings were created using a power hammer to forge the chiseled lines.
My mother recently had three strokes and my siblings and i have had to learn to work together to take care of her. The fish represent us as we become attune to what her needs are.
