This sculptural piece was created to celebrate 30 years of marriage. The cast glass contains three hearts of differing colors each at a different depth. I also wrote three sentences three times each at different depths: Je t'aimais toujours; Je t'aime encore; Je t'aimerai à jamais. The movement of the text within the cast glass piece comes from back to forward three times.
The cast glass is composed of 11 layers of glass. Three of them have text written on them in platinum. These were first fired separately. The three hearts are made of previously raked glass so that the colors swirl within each one. The sides have a soft iridescent shimmer.
This is a stand alone piece of sculpture that looks fabulous on a desk, a side table, or in a window. It can be viewed from all sides.
