Artful remodeling converted a 50s ranch house into a craftsman's delight but the dining room chandelier now looked out of place. So the homeowners commissioned us to create pendant lamp in the Craftsman style. The lamp is made of hand-poured opalescent glass, mostly mottled glass, in colors that coordinate with their rug and a tiled fireplace in an adjoining room. Flat-foil method of construction minimizes the weight of the fixture. It hangs over a large dinner table to illuminate meals, children's projects, and all the other ways family members gather at the heart of the home. The lamp is a stunning focal point in daylight and on dark winter evenings when extended family gather for holiday celebrations.
