This decorative china-grade ceramic plate was created by impressing a very old lace doily into the clay with a wooden rolling pin. The scalloped edge was sculptured with a small bladed knife. The plate was brush glazed with three coats and kiln fired twice.

I have 25+ different lace patterns that I can work with.

For custom designs I can use a piece of lace you supply. If it has a family story I can glaze a note on the back explaining, for an example, "Crocheted by Grandma Ethel Burney in 1888".

This plate could be considered as a Art Deco style piece.
