I was inspired to make this piece to hang in any room of your home. It is made out of clay with colored slips and will be glazed. I start with a few pounds of clay. Ran the clay through my slab roller and placed it on a plaster slump mold with I also made. Then I add color and texture before I started placing the coiled spikes. It reminds me of sea urchins. This piece does have a wall hanging bracket on the back. It could also be mounted in a shadow box frame.
