Chair Reproduction

The pictures represent the additional chairs that the customers wanted to increase their number of chairs in their dining set. They were reversed engineered from the original and meticulously reproduced from the same species of wood and the finished was matched to the original. Both sets of chairs were drawn up in a 3D model and cut out on a CNC machine. The cane chairs were machine caned to match the original. Both sets were finished in nitrocellulose lacquer to match the original. Both sets were reupholstered. The Queen Anne chairs were upholstered with the customer's Grandmother's needle point which was blocked and put on in the traditional manner. I am able to do any type of upholstery, including six way coil springs and double stuffing that is found in antiques. The most satisfying part of the job was hearing the customers say, which one in the original and which one did you make.
