Chama Desk Natural Edge Maple Slab And Steel
The Chama Desk is made from natural-edge maple slabs, rescued from a pulp mill yard, with hand-cut black walnut butterfly joints, and natural edges on both sides. The simple base is 2"x1" welded steel in a gunmetal finish and industrial strength matte clear powdercoat. This is a very minimal, zen desk that can double as a small dining table for homes or offices where workspace is limited.
The non-toxic, health-counscious finish is resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water etc. according to German Industrial DIN 68861 - 1C and complies EURO-NORM EN 71 (suitable for children's toys). This finish makes product care simple and easy. In most cases all that's needed is an occasional wipe-down with a soft cloth dampened with water.
