Antique Elegance!

This new gown is made from antique champagne colored silk shantung. It is a very pale shaded fabric adorned with antique lace embellishments on the bodice and hem.

The front of the gown is further embellished with same color embroidery and hand sewn seed beads and pearls set randomly amongst the embroidery.

The embroidery is of heirloom vines and flower buds, the divinity trio, cross with heirloom trellis work, 2 doves bringing flowers to the cross, and finishing the very top of the design is a trio of hand embroidered silk flowers. There are many details that only seeing it in person will truly reveal. The pictures do not do justice in bringing out all the small details. The longer you look at the dress the more you will find!

The back of the dress is very simple yet still elegant. The closure is five mother-of-pearl flower buttons and the hem is finished with a few rows of the silk separated by French cotton entredeux and the final edging is a small scalloped lace.

This gown is sized at about 6 mos. with the chest measuring approximately 20 inches. The overall length measures 42 inches and the hem width is 96 inches.

This could certainly be completed with a beautiful bonnet (no extra charge) and a light cotton slip with the family history embroidered (charge is dependent on the embellishments ordered).

This gown will certainly become a family heirloom to be shared with many generations to come.
