I've completed three stocking panels; two (NOT including this one) from a kit. I have only made the front panel, not the completed (assembled) stocking, but I can have the stocking completed by my amazing seamstress of a mother if you'd like :) That's the plan for my fourth stocking, which I hope to finish soon for my newborn nephew.
This stocking is a custom design, which I created given input from the child's aunt (who ordered the piece and then she sewed it into a stocking, image included). She worked with me to move from the concept (silhouette of nativity and some stars) and sent examples of nativity scenes she liked, which I used to create the design. I worked up a number of toe/top designs, and we ended up with a darkening toe and no extra design around the name at the top. She loved the final design, and I'm pretty proud that I turned an idea and a picture into something so beautiful!
Here's a link to the nativity image I used to create the design; the aunt didn't like the star in the original image (she said it looked like an "icicle of doom" and I can't say I disagree!) so that wasn't included in our design.
