Claro Walnut Cigarette Case With Lighter Compartment
I used a single board of nicely figured claro walnut around 8"x 8" x 2" to make this case. I the wood stock into 6 pieces to make all six sides of the case. The Lid & the bottom piece look exactly alike, as well as the left & right sides,The front piece is larger than the back because back piece is the hinge that is connected to the top piece.On the top & bottom sides are tapered to give the case a slim sleek look, you can see body lines are sanded straight before it tapers.In this case the customer requested a piano finish using 3 coats polyurethane, I can apply any finish that the customer prefers at there request. The lighter compartment partition is cut out so that the lighter can easily be pickup on the first try. Holding this case from front to back and flip it upside down the contents will not fall out.I can make this case without the lighter compartment at your request. I also make a smaller size that holds 13 cigarettes w/o lighter compartment that can fit nicely in the inside pocket of your suit jacket or sports coat.
