Clicker "Stretch" Pen In Masur Birch With 10kt Gold Metal

This is a newer pen I've been making. I think I'm going to make them only with wood, versus resin, as they really show off the wood! No center band to get in the way, just a long, beautiful body. This wood is Masur Birch, a rare and interesting wood that is almost exclusively found in Finland. It is subjected to beetle infestations, which is what causes the unique swirls and dots you see in the wood. It's a creamy caramel color, with a lot of character. The tip extends by clicking the button with your thumb, a great feature if you're pulling it in and out of a pocket often, like a doctor. The refill is a Parker type refill, available anywhere. It's superbly balanced, and writes great. A medium sized barrel, for any hand. The metal is a heavy 10kt Gold plate.
