Coffee Table
This is a piece that came together almost by accident one evening. I was working in my shop in Texas, and happened to have a bucket of these railroad clips under my table. I started putting them together, and came up with this pattern. When I repeated it, It turned into this table! I created the weld beads large and proud, and left them brushed, but unground. Right as I was welding the legs on, my black lab Shiner ran up to the door of the shop carrying a big piece of cedar. It became the footrest for the table. I liked the natural patina on the table, so I sealed it in. It now sits in the living room of my house. I have a limited supply of additional material, and can make two more tables. Please let me know if you're interested in having one made. I would like to try sandblasting and applying a plum brown patina to one of these tables.
