Coffee Table

I make coffee tables from old factory carts. Each cart is a unique creation that is sure to catch the attention of your friends and family.

These carts were built to last, made of solid cast iron hardware and 2-inch thick oak frames. It's no wonder that they were the workhorses of moving materials and finished goods across factory floors for nearly a hundred years.

I strip my carts of all the hardware, grind off the grime, then prime, repaint and finish with a glossy protective coating. The oak frames are sanded down just enough to reveal the beauty of the wood while also preserving enough traces of the bumps and bruises to maintain the unique character of each piece.

The tops are too abused to be preserved, so I replace them with reclaimed oak boards that are salvaged from 100-year-old barns. As with the frames, I sand the tops just enough to bring out the beauty of the wood while keeping the original saw marks, nail holes and other details that make each piece one of a kind.

These tables are very heavy, weighing in at over 120 pounds, but they're on wheels so can be moved easily.
