Inspired by the paintings of Piet Mondrian, I came across this design concept when I was using reclaimed timbers to build a dine table. The wood was so fine but I had knots and broken spots I needed to deal with some how. The inlay was a way to cut out the imperfections and add an interesting element.

This table measures 64"long, 26" wide and about 16" high. The top is about 1 7/16" thick.
