oleoptera (beetles) include more species than any other order, constituting almost 25% of all known types of animal life-form, therefore likely being the most common natural living shape ever. Joshua reinterprets this natural epitome of form through linear pattern work giving new identity to the shape & inviting the viewer to rediscover it through the gentle visual lead of the pattern. An exploration in how 2D images & design can change the interpretation of 3D form & geometry.
