Architectural Art | Sculpture & Paintings

I was hired to create a number of visual components for the Colorado Welcome Center in Burlington Colorado. On the exterior is a buffalo glyph that I made out of redwood. It is painted in purple. The interior has a large vertical painting of hay bales with mountains rising behind them. The painting is acrylic on a plywood substrate. I applied floating aluminum letters to the painting. It is a 60 degree parallelogram, a shape that was used as part of a travel guidance system I created including a large map and accompanying brochure racks. They both used parallelogram flags for geographical division. Over the counter is a round mountain painting done in the same style as the entry painting.
