This was a really fun project. I built this guitar for a talented and energetic young man while he was a senior in high school for him to take to university and beyond. This guitar is all about sound and playability. Zach said he didn't care what it looked like, he was focused on it as a musical instrument. Turn me loose! We used east Indian rosewood for the back and sides. I like this wood and high quality back and side sets are obtainable. We chose European Alpine spruce for the sound board as I figured that Zach had a lot of time to fully bring out the potential in this traditional sound board material and has the talent and energy to fully utilize all the character this wood is capable of. I made a simple but striking rosette with maple burl bordered with a "rope" design. We used an acoustic port, which is especially useful in ensemble work. Zach and his physical therapist helped me dial in on an arm rest design that he really needed to be able to continue with the guitar. Thankfully this has worked and he is at university studying guitar
Dimensions: This guitar has a 65cm. scale.
