These fused and slumped glass vases are examples of my Contemporary Series of Glass Vases. They are created with two layers of art glass; some iridescent such as the cranberry colored piece or with strips of colored transparent shapes or strings of glass.
Two layers are fully fused and then they are placed on a stainless steel cone in the glass fusing kiln. The individualized shapes are created by controlling the time of the fusing cycle and the temperature selected for fusing.
The vases are designed to compliment a home or office environment or may simply show off the beauty of the glass form as light passes through. Or they may have cut or dried arrangements to enhance their beauty.
Each finished work is engraved with my name on the bottom of the vase.
