Contemporary Walnut Pedestal Table
This piece began with the invitation to create a pedestal table that was 5' x 5', but which would expand to 6' x 6'. It was to be constructed out of solid walnut.
Together we worked to overcome the challenges of constructing this table out of solid wood and came up with a solution that met both the structural issues of construction while achieving the buyer's desired result.
The pedestal is a 3" thick solid walnut octagon, with eight arched legs reaching up to support the top.
This dining set is intended for daily use by an active family, and is constructed and finished in such a manner as to give years of trouble free service.
