This wood and steel Dining Table has a top of live-edge English Elm and stands on pedestals made from fine steel plate. It has striking, clean lines in an European, minimalist design and was made for an apartment in Manhattan's East village

The top in this picture is a single slab of naturally contoured English Elm, two inches thick. For your customized project you can choose from a selection of high-character wood pieces of different species, colors, graining and shapes. The table can also be topped with stone - marble, granite, quartzite - concrete, or to create a lighter look, glass. The Elm on this table has been textured to an organic, glass-like smoothness and finished with multiple coats of fine polyurethane. For a matte, more natural look I can use Danish wood Oil.

The pedestals here are made from sheer steel-plate and finished in Aged Copper. A wide color range is available, especially if the finish is upgraded to powder coating. A natural, raw steel also presents an exceptional, more industrial, look.

DIMENSIONS: this table is 60 x 27 (allowing for its natural wave). It can be built in lengths up to 110 inches and widths up to 36 inches.

The price of the table will be dependent, in large measure, on the choice of table top. Size and finishes are also important cost variables.

DELIVERY: I will deliver and instal the table myself within a 50 mile radius of New York City for a super nominal cost. For shipping to elsewhere in the US I will locate the best price possible including via uShip which is safer and less expensive than the big carriers
