Coyok - Bird Whistle

Coyok is a bird whistle that comes from the Qom (Toba) and Wichi tribes of northern Argentina. Like most indigenous groups of the Americas, they have a long history of struggle, persecution, and displacement from their native lands.
When I make a Coyok, I pray that its call make us more sensitive to the language of our winged relatives. I also pray that it serves as an invocation for all us to respect the diverse indigenous cultures of the Americas.
