This is the classic "cuirass" style corset, worn underneath the tight-fitting bodices of the 1880s. Perfect for wearing underneath bustle dresses. It is very controlling, and gives an amazing silhouette.
This corset is made from 2 layers of corset coutil (very tight woven cotton), steel bones, with flossing and embroidery. Flossing is the embroidery at the top and bottom of each bone - it is a very traditional Victorian detail. As shown, this corset would be $400, but can be made without the embroidery, or with any other style of embroidery.
