This house is situated overlooking a very quiet pond and I felt like the kitchen needed to reflect the natural feeling you get when you are outside. The curly maple wood in this kitchen is not only fun to look at but also creates a real warmth. The green granite gives contrast.
I chose open shelves made from solid maple for the only uppers--besides the built-ins. The plate rack and built in pantry give a lot of extra room without seeming to take up space.
