A customer contacted me and wanted a bar built as a surprise for her husband for Christmas. She told me to "be creative". I selected some old barn wood and got started. I had to keep in mind that it would have to be delivered to an upstairs room. I took an antique mirror out of its frame to go on the rear piece but used the brass accents on the corners that were initially on it. For the two small shelves on each side of the mirror, I used some curved pieces from an old whiskey barrel to trim them. For a couple of wine glass racks, I used a few old garden rakes. When I was done, I had it to where I could break it down into 11 parts but that made it possible to get it up their stairs! She was greatly pleased and was able to keep it a surprise for him. Now I am about to do several projects for them.
