Leather is treated with stain and water protectant spray to keep drips and spills from damaging the leather.

I'd also love to use your personal belts if you have some special belts set aside. Dad's old belt, or a Harley-Davidson belt, or a needlepoint belt your mom made for you. Let's include it in the design. That makes your furniture even more special.
Each chair is handcrafted in Lexington, KY from recycled leather belts. These chairs are solid and in excellent condition. Great hardwood construction and well built. I do NOT make the frame of the chair myself. Depending on your choice of frame design, I try to use American made chair frames. I also try to use vintage frames when possible. They are often great quality foundational pieces for the BeltArt.
This is my full-time job, not a hobby. I've made hundreds of these chairs and bar stools, and I know the techniques which will make a chair that lasts. I am also very selective about what chairs I select to put my designs on. This is a high quality hardwood chair of good construction.
