This is the door on my Glass Studio. I had to build a custom door because it needed to be 40" wide to accommodate my work table. Since the interior of the Studio is all done in knotty pine, I decided to build the door to match. The photos show the finished door installed, and a shot of the clamps necessary to construct the frame. The door is finished with Sikkens Cetol, the most weatherproof finish I've ever found, and it now features the art-glass panel seen elsewhere in my "projects" photos.
The costs variation reflects use of different woods and complexity of design. This door is all pine, so the wood cost was very low. Oak, on the other hand, would be significantly higher!
Dimensions: 40" wide, 80" high, 1 1/2" thick.
