On this particular project I worked with homeowners who were remodeling an old bungalow in Lakewood Co. They wanted a glass vessel sink along with a glass countertop to fit on a wedge shaped maple cabinet. They wanted a amber/yellowish color for the glass sink and a dark green color for the glass counter top. After approval of the glass samples, the finished sink has a yellow transparent base and a specialty glass on the surface that reflects a silvery/yellow. The surface glass also added a amber tone and helped tie together the wood tones in the bath. For the glass counter top, I hand selected the glass to create the desired dark green color. The custom edges are textured to look like chiseled rock. When looking down on the counter top, it has a nice greenish/gold and silver sparkle to it. The silvery color in the sink worked well with all the brushed nickel.
The glass vessel measures 17 inches by 5.5 inches tall. The glass counter top measured 18 inches by 38 inches by 24 inches and 1.25" thick.
