I made these for a client, trying to emulate a shape and clay color from cups she had purchased in England over 20 years before. She and I were very pleased with the results. I start with 25 pounds of mud, cut up and wedge into 25 balls then threw 25 mugs on the wheel. Making sure the cups I sent to her were near identical. I had experimented with an earthy drippy color combination and it fit the cups very well.
