Custom Lighting - Glass Blown Pendant With Shaped Unique Canopies

A number of years ago our company jumped into lighting when I was working mainly in the commercial industry and assisting retail spaces with lighting for display showcases, mall kiosks, ambient, and gallery lighting. Recently our company was asked to design custom glass blown pendant lights for a restaurant. My wife and I wanted to design a look that was easily apparent it was handmade and individually blown for the customer. The clear pieces were cold chilled to create a more faceted look and the edges were not perfectly round. There were a number of long pendants made of elegant white swirled glass. We dropped these pendants over a 14' live edge walnut table from a custom wood hanging canopy.

Shown is a related project for a home office of a photographer, forming the pendant canopy into a somewhat abstracted cloud form. These pendant canopies can be created in varying shape, size, color, or out of different materials.

One thing to remember on a custom lighting project is that it can take some time to come up with a finished design, work with the electrician to make sure that the wattage, lumens and structure meet the practical demands of the space and to then fabricate and finalize all the details. Because of this I will need to have some flexibility on time to make sure I provide exactly what is needed, with quality work. I will work with you, or your architect/designer to fulfill your custom lighting needs.
