Food-safe glue is utilized and FDA approved food-grade cutting board oil is used to protect the wood. A convenient portal is located at one end for carrying the board and for hanging it up on a hook when not in use.

ABOUT THE CARLINO KITCHEN

In my youth, my Mom's kitchen was always a place of wonderful activity. She was an amazing cook, creating everything from incredible gourmet dinners to spectacular, delicious baked goods. As long as I live, I shall never forget the sounds, the sights and the aromas of that magical place.

In Mom's memory, I have created my "La Cucina Carlino" line of artisan cutting boards, crafted one at a time from the finest hardwoods, edge-grain oriented vertically for stability. All my boards are constructed using food-safe glues and are treated with food-safe mineral oil (enhanced with vitamin E) to preserve their beauty. They are easily maintained by washing by hand with mild dishwashing liquid and warm water and their beauty can be refreshed periodically with food-safe cutting board or butcher block oil, readily available at most home centers.
