Cvm Wool Roving (California Variegated Mutant) Very Soft Medium Gray

Roving E5, Luxurious soft naturally colored CVM wool, next-to-skin soft, processed as roving for your spinning or felting pleasure. This is a gorgeous medium rich gray, with staple length 3-4", relatively easy to spin. The wool comes from Jenny's Spindling Fibers in IA, a special ewe Michelle, who has huge fleeces with lots of color. This US grown fleece is from a rare and endangered breed and relatively hard to find.
CVM sheep were developed as a breed from colored Romeldales. Their fleece has a longer staple length than merino and retains fineness and softness. Usually they are colored and may have several colors in each fleece. Unlike most breeds of sheep, CVM sheep do not tend to fade in their rich colors as they age.
We seek to promote US fibers grown by small producers. If you have never tried CVM, you'll want to try it. This listing is for 4 ounces (120 gms).
