I make decorative business signs for barber shops, bait and tackle shopes, restaurants, beauty parlors and even private homes. Thay are made of pine or any wood the client wishes used. Even reclaimed wood such as barn or pallet wood. The writting surface is 3/16 inch sanded plywood with a chalkboard paint applied. It takes three coats of this paint. There are many colors to choose from as the paint is tintable. I do both sides of the sign so its revrsabel and visable from both sides. Also the unit can be constructed with the chalkboard being removable nd reversible. Any style design can be made. This one was used for displaying the ice fishing decoys I make. I have done barber poles, other fish and just about anything you can think of as they are all custom made. They do range in size, This one being 36 inches tall by 28 inches wide. They are hinged and do fold flat.
I can stain them any color you wish or paint them or do a wash coat. The top coat is three layers of water based satin exterior polyurethane.
Basically just let your imagination soar.
