Pulling colors from the carpet drapes and fabrics. I first added the crown and moldings around the cove ceiling, and based them out to match the Oak trim the builder had installed. then the base finish, a soft brushed plaster look was applied to the walls and cove ceiling. Those lighter shades were used to soften and highlight the moldings and crown. The next step was to paint the Mural and add the accent colors to the crown. Then a clear crackle finish and soft wash was added to the walls to age and high-lite the crackle. When we were done the client said she wished we had done it in a room they used more often she loved it that much.
