Dining Table

This dining table is in a style that is currently popular featuring a painted base & legs with a natural finish top. It is an updated version of what is sometimes called a tavern table or farm table. Tavern tables were originally painted tables that were structurally sound to withstand the wear & tear in colonial taverns. With the constant wiping and washing of the tabletops, waitresses, barmaids & hostesses wore the paint off the tabletop leaving only the natural rubbed finish.

This particular table features a hand cut dovetail drawer for various kitchen storage. It could also include a drop-down drawer front revealing a pull-out tray to access a laptop computer while working in the kitchen. The legs are lathe-turned and reinforced with stretchers. The tabletop has a striking figured maple grain pattern & was finished to compliment the client's corner cupboard.

Your needs may include a more formal dining table or another style such as a trestle table, pedestal table or maybe an expansion table that is fitted with leaves to accommodate more seating. Some clients have requested specific accents such as the compass rose inlay centered on the tabletop as shown in the second photo.

Samples of other dining tables & corner cupboards are available upon request.

Dimensions: The dimensions of this particular piece are 29" wide by 56" long by 30" in height. These are easily adapted to your specific needs.
