These two dining room entry tables are made from Goncalo Alves wood. The tops of each are made in completely mitered sections with angled intersecting dividing pieces that illustrate craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each top is floating and the same board has been used for a continuous flow of grain throughout.
The unique moulding under the top, in addition to the curve under the top's edge is that of Chinese origin and have also been mitered to fit the unique leg pattern.
Each leg consists of 5 actual separate pieces and are split, then rejoined at a later time to mesh perfectly. No screws or nails were used to construct these joints. Each intersecting joint is made by hand by using old-world joinery techniques, which will last a lifetime.
Both tables were finished over a 17 day period with a hand applied finish that will never crack, peel, chip or flake but still remain highly resistant to wanter and abuse. Although these tables were placed in a clients home for beauty alone, the finish would easily allow them to be used daily without compromise.
Dimensions: Price includes both tables in walnut or cherry.
