Customer requested three separate pieces for an Entertainment Center that could be "locked" together, or each piece could be a "stand alone" and be placed about the room. All pieces are made of solid birch and birch plywood, with mortise & tenon joinery.
The center section has 3 drawers constructed with dovetail joinery & they move smoothly on ball bearing metal slides. Additionally, the top drawer has been modified to include a central charging station for several electronic devices, with all cords routed through the back of the cabinet.
The doors are mounted with Blum Clip Top hinges and are easily removed or installed. Both end cabinets have both a full shelf & a half shelf with the unused shelf stored on the bottom of the cabinet.
All pieces of the Entertainment Center were "distressed" to the customer's satisfaction with a two-tone medium brown undercoat & off-white top coat.
