LATIGO LEATHER
-Latigo means "girth strap"—the strap that braces the saddle under the horse's belly: very tough. Just think how important that strap is on a saddle!
-The tanning process removes stretch
-CAN GET WET! (the leather will darken and soften)
-Will let some color when wet
-All natural vegetables dyes (pet safe)
WHY 1 1/2 INCHES WIDE?
Besides looking nice, the wider leather is better proportioned to larger necks. Control is easier, the collar does not cut in as much (less likely to damage windpipes), and it is more difficult for wrestling dogs to get their teeth under.
