Double Stack Office Paper Tray
This was a custom order for a lady in Las Vegas. The client wanted a double stack office tray to fit her retro upscale office decor. After some mock drawings this is the design we came up with.
The thought behind this design was that we wanted a 50's retro looking inlay with the function ability of a paper tray. The trays are made from black walnut milled down to 3'8" thickness with the bottom of the tray being walnut plywood. The top and bottom of the tray holders are interlocking so that they don't shift with movement. The side is a Birdseye maple inlay. The whole piece was then hand rubbed with a mixture of oils and beeswax finish.
