This desk is constructed out of steel and reclaimed Douglas Fir, which was hand harvested from an old building outside of Portland,Oregon. I carefully split the original 2x4s in half in order to use both side of the wood's exterior, salvaging those original saw marks that are so steeped in history and offer gorgeous character to the desk.

The frame is built out of steel, which I hand welded, sanded and then finished with a simple oil. The drawers are set on smooth, soft-close tracks and finished with custom hand-welded pulls.
